This position is responsible for overseeing appraisal assignment, tracking and rescheduling job functions within the dispatch unit using material damage reporting tools.
Essential Functions

  • Perform people management functions to include, but not limited to: hire, coach, develop, motivate, train, evaluate, reward, discipline and terminate.  Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Provide/monitor new assignments to the dispatch department to ensure that workload is appropriately distributed amongst the staff
  • Prepare weekly and monthly statistical performance reports that note the figures for the number new assignments received, number of assignments closed, number of assignments cancelled, diary management, message management and appraisal channel percentages
  • Monitor the workload of staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency of work and to ensure that any applicable state specific guidelines are adhered to
  • Develop and Monitor internal processing guidelines and that staff meets the quality standards
  • Complete monthly quality assurance file reviews to ensure quality and timeliness measurements are being met.
  • Complete monthly quality assurance reviews on vendor billing to ensure billing is complete and accurate by verifying the services completed are reflective of the services on the assignment and in accordance with the pricing agreements
  • Assist IT with ongoing development and maintenance of internal systems used within the department
  • Monitor the performance of and making recommendations regarding registration forms and assist in initial set and test. Maintain vendor relations through account maintenance.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 2+ years’ claims support experience and/or 1+ year of physical damage appraisal experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Access
  • Position requires the ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Ability to collect, compile and organize facts, figures and/or other information in accordance with established company Physical Damage and Dispatch procedures
  • Position requires the ability to provide oral and written communication regarding specific Physical Damage issues.
