Responsibilities

As the Product Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for the development and management of all policy forms and contracts, coverage analysis, along with the tracking of new and existing state statutes and regulations that my impact the personal lines portfolio.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  •  Develop and maintain a database/repository of all policy forms and contracts along with corresponding effective/implementation dates, SERFF Filing Numbers and other pertinent information.
  • Develop processes and procedures related to forms maintenance, filing, implementation, compliance with state laws/regulations, auditing and periodic monitoring.
  • Develop processes and procedures to monitor and respond to any and all Regulatory and/or Legislative requirements or changes.
  • Develop detailed requirements around statutory required language for all forms.
  • Partner with Product, Legal/Compliance, Claims and other functional areas on all form changes along with driving the implementation of these changes.
  • Serve as a countrywide Subject Matter Expert (SME) pertaining to personal lines forms, rules, filing procedures, coverage issues and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct research and analysis on legal issues, competitor forms, market needs, and emerging issues to make recommendations for changes or additions to personal lines products.
  • Partner with Compliance, Product, Claims, and other functional areas to track, analyze and interpret laws and regulations relevant to property and casualty insurance for purposes of determining impact to personal lines product.
  • Partner with Legal, Product, Claims, and other functional areas regarding revised policy contracts and other forms to assure consistency between states where possible as well as assuring compliance with all statutes, regulations and case law into Compliant Forms to be implemented upon approval of the DOI. Also responsible for communicating changes throughout the organization.
  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for all other members of the Product Department as to best practices and current system functionality as well as provide guidance and advice for enhancements or changes to forms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements





Experience/Skills Requirements 

  • Minimum of four years of Property & Casualty experience industry. Automobile insurance experience is preferred.  Solid understanding of the insurance industry needed.
  • Minimum of two years of experience reading and interpreting regulations and statutes is required as well as the ability to determine impact on the organization and changes necessary to comply.
  • Experience with the forms development and filing process within P&C preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required, intermediate excel and advanced word skills a must.
  • Position requires the ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and basic statistics.
  • Ability to collect, compile and organize facts, figures and/or other information in accordance with company procedures or project specifications
  • Position requires the ability to provide verbal and written communication regarding forms issues to various departments and levels of management

 Education Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree in Business (Marketing, Insurance, etc.), Juris Doctor, or equivalent experience required.
