Responsibilities

This position is a Med Pay/PIP Claims Supervisor responsible for providing day to day administrative and technical supervision to a team of claim adjusters whose primary tasks are the adjudication and settlement of Medical Payments and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims. 

  • Mentor and coach associates to develop skills, increase job knowledge and achieve stated performance objectives.
  • Establish and maintain efficient supervisory oversight to ensure file handling is in compliance with company standards and statutory guidelines and meeting customer service standards.
  • Evaluate and extend authority on claim reserves, coverage, payments, etc. within your authority.
  • Provide performance feedback and performance appraisals.
  • Gather and report on information pertaining to unit productivity, quality and timeliness measures.
  • Resolve elevated calls from customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • An Associate’s Degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of PIP/No-Fault claims adjusting experience and advanced understanding of personal injury protection laws, regulations and statues is required
  • A minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, time management, leadership and organization skills are essential.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word Windows and Excel).
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division), along with the calculation of averages and percentages.
  • Holds an Active Adjuster License
